Four-month-old Max Robinson was strong enough to leave Overland Park Regional Medical Center on Tuesday. His mother, Jennifer Robinson (left), was joined by Nicole Hendrix, whose donation of breast milk gave strength to Max.

Yeah, if you look at the studies done in South Africa (the highest HIV rate in the world) you’ll see that they now recommend that HIV positive mothers exclusively breastfeed for six months. It’s when they combination feed that the HI virus enters the gut ( i think) and they can become infected. They have also found that the babies who have been breastfed by their HIV positive mothers have been healthier in general than the ones who have been formula fed.
