The swearing issue is a very personal choice, I do not allow swearing in front of my 5yo and will openly reprimand anyone that does! This is not to say I dont swear – just not in her earshot! However, when seeing friends, it is quite surprising sometimes when their small child comes out with some expletive that I certainly didnt know at 5 years old, let alone be brave enough to use. I think it comes from what was allowed when you were growing up and ultimately, they will hear them eventually, we just have to hope that they dont use them!!

I totally agree with you! Vulgarity true comes from a emotional place within us and when we choose to use it, it’s not at our best moments. I believe it’s important to show children how to better deal with emotions and use different words to express them.
