I recenty had a pregnant friend ask if they could come over and talk to me about Breast Feeding. I was a little perplexed at this but readily agreed. It turned out that out of all of her friends, I was the only one that had breast feed their baby. Is this a sign that mothers are worried that they are unable to breast feed and choose bottle over breast? I know when I was pregnant that there was a certain pressure and expectation to breast feed and I was fortunate to be able to do so. I salute the mothers that do and feel that breast feeding should be encouraged and not in any way forced upon moms. If this were the case, I think more moms may find there way ….

As I comment on your post, I think this is a really important issue you’ve raised. I wonder how many children become what they’re told they are rather than simply developing characters of their own free will.
